Pale gold colour with green highlights.
The nose is incredibly complex, displaying concentrated fresh, fruity, spicy and floral overtones. Vine peach and lime nuances blend with hints of tropical fruit, vanilla, and cinnamon, while floral fragrances of honeysuckle and acacia provide delicate background aromas.
The wine is especially powerful and fresh on the palate. It is full-bodied and very mineral with magnificent acidity providing balance and length.
2006 Domaine de Chevalier blanc is opulent, refined, and complex, with a subtle balance.
Its fine long aftertaste puts it on a pedestal with the estate’s finest vintages!

An absolutely textbook great white Graves made from 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Semillon and aged nine months on its lees, this is a prodigious effort displaying notes of white flowers, currants, honeyed citrus, fig, and crushed rocks. The wine is very pure, with full body and high acidity, in a backward, almost tannic style. Give this wine at least 8-10 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 30 years. Drink 2017 - 2047. 94+

This is a strong vintage for Bordeaux’s dry white wines, probably as good or better than 2005. Crisp acidity combined with outstanding concentration and the fact that most of the white grapes were harvested before the rains began in mid-September resulted in an impressive group of wines. 92-94

The brilliant pale colored 2006 will be irresistible for followers of this estate. It boasts huge, as well as gorgeous aromatics of orange zest, white-fruit, apricot jam, and honey infused with notions of mineral and white flower. Elegant, but equally powerful, with a medium-body, beautiful nuances, quite the skillful delivery, and length. The melted savories of white fruit add much to its appeal. A fabulous Domaine de Chevalier! 96

Domaine de Chevalier white 2006 (WS): 95
Very tight and powerful, with lemon curd, honey, honeysuckle, vanilla bean and light toasty oak. Full-bodied, with a powerful layered palate. Superlong and rich. This goes on for minutes. Amazing what develops in the glass. Best after 2013. –JS

Domaine de Chevalier blanc 2006 (B & D) : 17.5
Nez très pur de fruits blancs, avec une touche d’abricot, corps élégant, pas encore complètement formé, sensation dominante de très forte personnalité et de complexité. Note : 17.5
Apogée : de 2010 à 2021
